As gardeners we are lucky to have a hobby that will keep us busy at any time of year. Even in the dark days of December and January, we can sit by the fire and plan wonderful things for next year, or just ogle other people’s gardens in magazines, and on websites!
We have now updated this website, endeavouring to make it more interesting by including new pages and making it more about you.
The Compost page will have new features including a monthly, Garden Tasks Now, along with the usual recipe, links to other interesting websites and anything else I can think of.
We have added a new page – a Club Noticeboard where any useful information from members for other members can be posted e.g. special gardening offers, useful gadgets, hints and tips. These can be sent through me using the email address below.
Also we would love to hear about your gardening successes. ..or disasters! We now have a Through the Garden Gate page, where we can see photos of your treasured areas or just special plants. This is your magazine page and we want to hear from you! So do please send photos and details to the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to hearing from you!
Things we do
We hold monthly meetings at St Michaels Church Rooms on the last Monday of every month when we generally have visiting speakers to entertain and inform on all matters garden related. We hold an annual Spring Show open to all members and Silverstone villagers. A bi-annual Open Garden event. Organised visits to gardens near and not so near. Click on to the relevant pages to find out full details.
We are a friendly bunch of individuals with a general interest in gardening. The club has over 100 members and we are interested in meeting new and old friends and generally having a fun time with the added bonus of gaining knowledge about everything to do with the garden.
Come and join us at one of our monthly meetings, it's a great way to make new friends.
